HyClone announces the launch HyQ® DMEM-RS™ (Dulbecco’s Modified Eagle Medium—Reduced Serum) and HyQ® MEM-RS™ (Minimal Essential Medium—Reduced Serum). These are formulations of DMEM and MEM that have been nutritionally enhanced to maintain cell performance while reducing serum supplementation by up to 80%.

Use of HyQ DMEM-RS or HyQ MEM-RS allows cell culturists to maximize individual lots of serum, minimize lot-to-lot serum variability, and maintain consistent cell culture results while reducing costs.

HyQ DMEM-RS and HyQ MEM-RS are suitable for a wide variety of cell types normally used with standard DMEM and MEM. These include, but are not limited to, WI-38, VERO, MRC-5, and SP20. HyQ DMEM-RS and HyQ MEM-RS are available as convenient 1X liquids in both 500 mL and 1000 mL sizes.
