HyClone Commissions New Dry Powdered Cell Culture Media Production Facility

Logan, Utah (June 2, 2003) –

HyClone announces completion of it’s new, state-of-the-art Dry Powdered Media Production facility. This newest addition to HyClone’s manufacturing site in Logan, Utah was commissioned for cGMP manufacturing on May 2, 2003.

The new multi-level facility incorporates unidirectional process flow to maximize output capacity and efficiency, and enhances product safety through manufacturing suite segregation. Continuous micronization technology uniformly reduces particle size.

Powdered media customers will now have the choice of selecting media prepared via classical ball milling or the new continuous micronization process.

The addition of this new facility substantially increases HyClone’s powdered media capacity and augments HyClone’s ability to meet large-scale demands for industrial volumes of cell culture media and animal cell culture-based researchers world wide.

HyClone powdered media and disposable flexible containers (BioProcess Containers.) are also utilized in the HyNetics modular units for available for onsite hydration.
