HyClone Launches Metabolically Designed Serum-Free Media for Gene Therapy Cell Lines

Logan, Utah (May 1, 2003)-

HyClone announces the release of two new media products for cell lines commonly used in gene therapy research and production applications. HyQSFM4HEK293 is a versatile serum-free medium developed to support high adenoviral vector and recombinant protein production in human embryonic kidney (HEK) 293 cells. HyQCDM4Retino is a high performance chemically-defined medium developed to increase process yields in the industrial manufacture of adenoviral vectors and recombinant proteins using PER.C6 (PER.C6 is a trademark of Crucell NV) and retina-derived cells. These new media are available in liquid and powdered formulations.

The launch further strengthens HyClone’s position as the premier global supplier of serum-free media.
