Amphotericin B is an antibiotic agent that is active against fungi. It is used as an anti-fungal, anti-yeast, and anti-mold agent. It interferes with the permeability of the cell membrane of sensitive fungi by binding sterols. The common working concentration is 2.5 µg/mL, and it is cytotoxic at 30 µg/mL.
