Cellular Engineering Technologies
| All CET stem cells are characterized and tested with a panel of known stromal, stem, and hematopoietic markers. Each system is analyzed by flow cytometry to ensure >95% purity. All stem cells test negative for HIV-1, HIV-2, Hepatitis B, and Hepatitis C. All CET stem cells are only grown in media and serum with no additional growth factors used prior to distribution, in order not to compromise the differentiation potential.
Human amniotic epithelial (HAE) Cells are isolated from the amniotic membrane of fresh placentas using an enzyme based treatment. The cells retain embryonic stem cell characteristics and are useful for tissue differentiation of all three germ layers, including the ectoderm, endoderm, and the mesoderm. Tissue differentiation applications include conversion into pancreatic islet cells, liver hepatocytes, cardiomyocytes and neurons. Cells are enzymatically isolated from the amniotic membrane of a human placenta. Cells are differentially plated and isolated using their morphology. CET Multipotent Cord Blood Unrestricted Somatic Stem Cells
Multipotent cord blood unrestricted somatic stem cells are isolated from human umbilical cord blood using differential plating techniques and a proprietary media formulation. These cells may be differentiated into cell types such as hepatocytes, cardiomyocytes and insulin producing cells. Three passages, using tissue culture plastic adhesion, are conducted to achieve a homogenous population.
